ROAD TRIP...

We decided it was our turn to make the long haul to IA to visit everyone.... and a long haul it was... we left at 220p on Thursday and rolled into the Gallagher Bed and Breakfast at 245am!! Thank you Mindy for letting us stay and being so hospitable! I hope Braden enjoyed seeing his "cousins" lol!! We got about 5 hours of sleep and got up and went to the BEll Tower Festival parade!! IT was a lot of fun... and the kids got a ton of candy! You know you are in Iowa, when the majority of the parade is old tractors...

yes, this was a Dad and his 2 kids doing 'tricks' during the parade. At first we thought it was pretty cool, but in hind sight, decided it was pretty dangerous. THere were other motorcyles doing jumps and messing around, but if they would've lost control, they would've wiped out several people in the crowd!

Iowa is so green and pretty during the summer (especially after all the rain they have had). The grass there is totally different... so soft and much nicer than here. The backyards are SO big and open ... no fences... no cookie cutter homes... like here in TX... maybe we should move back?!?

Thanks for putting up this pool just for us!! We had a great time swimming.... even though it was a little cold!
